Maria Isakova was a world champion speed skater. She won three consecutive gold medals at the World All-Round Championships and was awarded the Order of Lenin. This delicate bronze captures Maria's elegance as well as the suggestion of her famous speed. The sculpture has a beautiful diagonal line to suggest forward momentum.
